GIVEAWAY! WAH Nail Art Book, Nail Art Pens and a Bit of Glitter

"Give it away give it away give it away give it away now
Give it away give it away give it away give it away now
Give it away give it away give it away give it away now"
Give it away by Red Hot Chilli Peppers

It's been a long time coming, but here it is something to get those creative nail juices flowing!

The Rio Nail Art Art Set has all the basic colours to recreate nail art designs. The dual ended nibs means you can have a dotting nib or use the brush function. I have another set of these myself and have found them really easy to use, unfortantly my artist flair has been lost recently but I find they are brilliant for doing neat smile lines for french style manicures. There is some small pots of glitter to add some shimmer your designs.

WAH Nail Book is what you expect from the top of the Nail art tree, trendy and cool designs that can be easily recreated by their step by step instructions. You also get a history on how they've got to this point and are introduced to some of the staff.

The whole set is worth £35 and is open to anyone in the UK from today until 0.00am on 13th October. The giveaway is supplied by myself with my own money and will be sent out as soon as the winner has given me their details (as soon as possible would be appreciated). All run through Rafflecopter, all details collected are only for the giveaway so I can contact the winner.

I Need to Look Fabulous Giveaway

For those eagle eyed people on my Instagram, I did indeed hint at a giveaway. I do love a good giveaway, and Friday I won the Truffle Shuffle Friday competition to win some money to spend on the site. I hardly win anything before the Truffle Shuffle I think it was a lip balm in a Twitter giveaway over the Summer. I did find it ironic after the latest win that I was scheduling a giveaway for here.

This giveaway has the cutest Limited Edition Liquids Sand minis from OPI that I brought from Olympia Beauty. They are not in the shops yet (October is the launch date I have), so they are exclusive at the moment. To help with glamming up is a set of false lashes with glue and a mini version of Laurens Way Darker than Dark tanning lotion will also be sent with it.
  • It is UK only (Stupid Royal Mail and their stance on sending nail varnish aboard).
  • There are mandatory entries which must be completed to qualify and yes they will be checked.
  • The varnishes were purchased by me but the rest have been gifted to me.
  • Closing time and date is Monday 14th October 2013 at 12.00 GMT (London).
  • All prizes will be sent 2nd to the winner and a proof of postage will also be collected.

Selfridges Advent Calender - Week 2 (Days 8 - 16)

Week 2 in advent calender land - If you missed Week 1 you can read it here. It feels that this week is more of a make up week with nearly a face full of make up in a week.

December 8th - Lancome La Vie Est Bella

I can't believe I forgot to photograph this, the mini is really sweet. The fragrance is soft floral with jasmine, Orange Blossom and patchouli. Very delicate and makes a good daytime fragrance.

December 9th - Lancome Hypnose Star mascara

Provides intense volume and intense colour, great evening mascara. I have saved this for dressing up on Christmas Day. I like the advertising on it using Betty Boo because I love her retro look.

December 10th - Lancome L'Absolu Nu in Rose Subtil

A soft creamy pink with hints of gold. A great feminine pink that would suit most skin tones.

December 11th - Lancome Hypnose Mascara

OK Have you noticed a theme apart from the make up is that it is mostly Lancome, I am a fan but it does seem clamped together. This is their big drama volume mascara and top seller in black.

December 12th - Lancome Tresor

A Lancome classic, powdery fruity floral. Very french and only can be worn when you want a bit of classic glamour.

December 13th - Lancome Genifique

This is currently living in my bathroom, hence why it's not here! Smoothing skin serum that prevents as well as reverses the ageing process. It's a gel like serum that goes underneath moisturiser, skin has already felt softer after a few days so it looks promising.

December 14th - Armani Code fragrance

Hurray something isn't Lancome! I like this powdery musky oriental fragrance, perfect for evenings with a dark smokey glamorous look.

December 15th - YSL Eye Liner in Black

Perfect soft liner that is a sweet wash bag size, haven't used YSL liners before so I look forward to this one.

December 16th - Lancome Juicy Tube in Cerise

Lipgloss in a soft red with small bits of glitter, I have the bigger version of this so the baby one will go into handbags as an 'emergency' gloss.

Selfridges Advent Calender - Week 1 (Days 1-7)

A few weeks ago I entered a competition on British Beauty Blogger to win a set of Lancome crackers and a Selfridges advent calender. Not so long story is that I was picked by the Selfridges PR to receive them after saying that the person I want to pull a cracker is one of my best friends, who's not only pregnant but it's due on my birthday (Congratualtions again to her!).

While I've put the crackers to one side to share with her (as it's only fair and it make our Christmas dinner a lot more special), this I keep eagerily awaited for December 1st.

If you followed on Twitter I have been giving a daily tweet to what I've got, and then bring them altogether to show what is in them. This would normally retail for £82, and contain 24 luxury beauty samples from Lancome, Kiehl's, YSL, Armani, Diesel, Viktor & Rolf and Shu Uemura.

December 1st - Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

I've tried this before and wasnt bowled over by it, put it one before bed and when i woke it had soften down to a delicate scent. Husband approved as well.

December 2nd - Kiehl's Strengthing Hand Cream

I like the texture of this, it sinks it quickly but is still rich. I already know I'm purchasing this to replace my Estee Lauder Renutriv that ran out last month.

December 3rd - Lancome Regenrie Face Cream

Good size sample at 15ml, but it says it's for lifting and firming. I know I'm not quite there yet, but it smells beautiful.

December 4th - Lancome Eau Micellaire Douceur

Simple more know as cleansing water, and considering my Etat Pur also finished last month, this was a small God send.

December 5th - Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil

I'm really excited to try this as I've heard other poeple say it's a great prodcut and never had a chance to try it.

December 6th - Loverdose by Diesel

The bottle design is beautiful, nicely facited so it catches the light but in a deep purple so it isn't too girlie. The scent is richly violet with a powdery vanilla dry down. It was definatly husband approved, as it also matches his Only The Brave by Diesel.

December 7th - Keihl's Ultra Facial Cream

This mornings offering was a lightly scented face cream, I know they are more known for their body products but I am intested in this. I have tried their Midnight concertrate and was impressed with that.

Many thanks again to Jane at British Beauty Blog and the PR team at Selfridges. It's the best thing I've ever won (and there is 17 still to go!)

Razorpit Teneo Razor Sharpener Review and Giveaway

Shaving - not the most glamorous things to talk about. I have talked lyrical about this before in a previous Masterclass on Hair Removal. I still consider myself lucky that companies want to try products out for them, not only did I get to be asked to try this out but I also have one for you guys to try yourself.

The Razorpit Teneo works on the same technology that barbers use strops for - it removes organic matter from the razors blades that can make it dull. By clearing this debris away it means that the blade lasts longer and not need to replaced that often. It can be used on all razors, by applying foam or soap to the strop area and moving the head up and down.

I had this for a few months now and haven't had to replace a shaver head yet. My husband, who normal has no interest in anything I get, was noisy around this and it soon disappeared near his Mac Infusion razor. He as well is also happy with it, and now I have lost it forever to him. He then mentioned it to my dad who then borrowed it, and I had to beg it back so I can then redo my razor.

Thankfully I've managed to hide this new one from them so I can give you guys a chance of grabbing one yourself. You better enter before they find it.....

This is UK only

Razorpit can be found on Amazon for RRP £19.95.

Breaking My Essie Virginity

Not only did I break my virginity, but I did it with a threesome! I was lucky to the winner of Nikki Etc (nikkiloub.blogspot.com)Giveaway, first prize was this threesome as well as a Bourjois Nail Varnish Remover (but I'm saving that for another time). The three I got was:

Mint Candy Apple

A creme peppermint that is a breath of fresh air, everything about it just screams springtime.

Tart Deco

Another creme this time a orange/peach tone, very summery lovely and bright.

Merino Cool

A deep muddy purple/brown/grey, I wasn't keen of this in the bottle, put it on and it felt chic. A great AW colour.

However, after these three I already am eyeing up my next Essie additions from their Holiday collection in Leading Lady (A cherry berry glitter hit red) and Beyond Cozy (A gold/silver infused glitter). I also now have their colour chart that I'm ringing colours in. Have I given up my OPI love affair? No, but once you go Essie you never go back!

ColourVue Fashion Lenses Giveaway

When I was went to Olympia Beauty last month, in my pack were these lenses. Now I need to make an admission, putting things into my eye freaks me out, and I didn't want these to go to waste. I know there is a good home for them out there where they will be used.

ColourVue are a company that are based in Malaysia but sell fashion contact lenses around the world. They're range goes from the simple colour enhancers to complete black out lenses, which retail for about £14.99.

The pair that are in the giveaway are from their Glamour range, that has subtle colourings with patterns inside. These are what they look like below.

There are two lenses as well as a storage case, they have a life span of 3 months if looked after properly. To do this you will need to provide you own lense solution that can be brought from any opticians or chemist. There is a information leaflet in the pack to be read before use.

The eyesbright.com website has been very useful in providing information for me, and if you fancy purchasing some they have a wide range.

Terms & Conditions

  • Open for UK people (sorry)
  • Compulsory to be a follower of the blog (This will be checking and  if you decide to stick afterwards that would be great)
  • It'll run for one week (Final date is 28th October)
